Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate is a hidden object game developed by Big Fish Studios, and distributed by Big Fish Games. It is the fourth installment in the Mystery Case Files series. The game is available exclusively at Big Fish Games website. The Mystery Case Files franchise is the number one brand in casual games and has sold more than 2.5 million units to date.

Story
Madame Fate, a mysterious fortune teller, has foreseen her own demise at the stroke of midnight. She has asked the player for help in investigating each of the fifteen quirky carnival worker to determine their whereabouts when the clock strikes twelve. The player's investigation includes a multitude of people, from Art the Carny to Lucy the Bearded Beauty, while exploring Fate's Carnival. Each suspect has a motive; the player tries to discover the secrets hidden within Madame Fate's crystal ball. After the investigation, it turns out that all of the carnival workers are innocent.
At the end of the game, Madame Fate meets with the player and asks them to complete a final puzzle, claiming that her death is the player's fault rather than the fault of any of the carnival workers, as the killer has followed the player to the carnivel. After finishing the last of these puzzles, an image of a haunted manor appears before the shot pans out to reveal Madame Fate lying dead on her crystal ball's table. A black ghost (presumably Charles) hovers above her, saying that "while you rescued Emma, you will never save Rose, his true love". The player then sees the detective talking to The Queen in a phone booth. The Queen informs the player that something evil was released along with Emma, and the detective states "I know" as a shadow approaches the phone booth. The game then ends with the sound of a woman screaming (possibly the detective). The sequel and fifth game in the series, Mystery Case Files: Return to Ravenhearst, continues the Ravenhearst story-arc.

Gameplay
Like the Mystery Case Files titles that came before, Madame Fate relies heavily on the hidden object puzzle. However, many other puzzle types have been included to enhance gameplay. These include object puzzles and word scramble puzzles necessary to gain further game information and to gain access to other rooms.
Sequel
Big Fish Games released Fate's Carnival in November 2013.
Reception
According to independent tracking site game-sales-charts.com, following its release on November 8, 2007, Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate held the #1 sales spot on its home distribution channel, Big Fish Games, and has remained there. Leading casual games industry outlets such as Gamezebo.com have featured several articles featuring extremely positive reviews of the game.
